The 7-th International Yalta Forum of Insurance Market Participants organized by the LIOU
has completed its work

     The 7-th International Yalta Forum of Insurance Market Participants, the official organizer of which is the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine, completed its work. It's an international economic event of representative level acknowledged as the greatest insurance Forum in the world. This year its geography has been extended on all the continents - almost 700 insurers, reinsurers, journalists, experts from 31 countries of the world. Presentation of the Ukrainian insurance market to the international community made by the President of LIOU became the central event of the Forum. In particular, he marked in his speech the following: "Ukrainian insurance market is actively integrating into the whole world insurance system. Today, 81 domestic insurance companies have a share of foreign capital in authorized capital. 25 insurance companies have 51% and higher share of foreign companies’ investments in authorized capital, obtained by buying parts."
    By now the dominant of the sphere is life insurance, pension provision, motor insurance, agrarian, nuclear, medical, personal insurance and development of IT-technologies. The subject-matter  of the main Forum's events was motivated by it.
    For two years the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine has been holding the Day of National Insurance during the period of the Forum. This year the performance was dedicated to the German insurance market, one of the most experienced and professional world leaders. In the context of the presentation reported the leaders of the German Insurance Association, the most powerful German insurance and reinsurance companies, the history of which counts tens, or even hundreds of years.
    The main accent on the Forum was made on the development of transparency and clearness of the insurance market, what tends to be the necessary condition of attraction of new investments. The participants stressed on  the growth of recent investment attractiveness of the Ukrainian insurance market, what is rather appropriate, taking into consideration the huge potential of the field. Such countries as Russia, Great Britain, Austria, Denmark, Poland, Germany, Canada, France, USA, Italy, Sweden and others were marked to be among the main investors of the Ukrainian insurance market. Each year the list of the countries enlarges. The participants of the Forum resulted theirs work in the acceptance of Resolution, the paper determines the strategy directed at development and strengthen of national insurance market, what can be achieved by means of further establishment of international standards and following of the principles of free moving of insurance services among the countries-participants of the International Yalta Forum.
